What Exactly is CrossFit?

“Constantly variedfunctional movements, performed at high intensity in order to increase work capacity over broad time and modal domain.”

CrossFit aims to optimize a blend of all fitness qualities. CrossFit advocates a mix of body weight exercise, gymnastics, strength training, powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, running, plyometrics, etc. Come prepared for the unknown. This might sound intimidating, but CrossFit is infused with a principle of ‘scalability’. Meaning, all exercises can be regressed or progressed to movements that achieve a similar goal for the individual.

Injury Prevention is Goal #1.  CrossFit is SAFE (when coached and programmed well)!  We pride ourselves on not only training you to be a better athlete, but to educate you along the way in regards to everything related to human performance. You will get variety on a daily basis as we work towards getting you stronger, leaner and more fit than you ever dreamed of.

Gone are the days of spending hours in the gym trying to figure out what to do.  With years of coaching and athletic training experience, we program your workouts with a specific purpose of preventing injuries, increasing muscle mass, decreasing body-fat all while getting you to move better and get stronger!

What does a typical day look like?

Days will vary, but everyday will follow a similar structure.

A1: Movement Prep/Dynamic Warm-Up (The Goal is to Prepare Body for Work & Enhance Injury Prevention)
B1: Strength Exercise/Olympic Lifting Component (The Goal is to get you stronger with a variety of Exercises)
C1: W.O.D.  (The Goal is to work you hard and fast so your results can come quicker)
D1: Cool Down/Recovery (The Goal is to get you ready for tomorrow by taking care of your body today)
