I’ve said something close to this for years while coaching athletes. Life happens. Work happens. Injuries happen. School happens. Family happens. Pretty much anything you can think of will happen at some point during your training life (which should be your whole life). So don’t get stressed out, roll with it, and be as consistent as the circumstances allow.

Your “gains” don’t just fall off cliff if your training has to take a back seat for a week or two. Sure, things will “feel” heavy getting back into it, but you’ll bounce right back.

Casey (@saltsey) couldn’t do pull-ups for a stretch, and came right back and was able to hammer out 10.

So to everyone out there nervous about missing a day or a week in the gym, RELAX, you can ALWAYS do something. Embrace it and ATTACK!
